28 // How Would You Use Formable?
I’ve again been thinking about the initial structure I want to onboard users to, and about the onboarding experience in general.
Like with my previous app, I’d imagine a personal CRM incorporated into daily notes to be a powerful use case for Formable. From what I’ve heard from competitors that’s generally a common use for personal knowledge management software.
I’ve been writing some text snippets that could be included in a guide, or onboarding material:
“Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.”

Formable encourages you to write down all the things you want to remember. You’re not forced into any structure, like pages and folders. Just start typing. You might want to start by writing daily notes: Document your day, note ideas, write a journal.
Set up the structures you want to work with. Besides daily notes, we also created a simple task list for you.
You don’t have to do any setup before starting though. You can also just mention other blocks inline, or file notes after writing them to create structures and group blocks together.
With Formable, blocks can live at multiple places, so creating new structures to work with on the go is easy.
Thanks for reading to the end!
